The Southern India Engineering Manufacturers' Association (SIEMA) was founded in the year 1952, with a sole aim of representing and protecting the interests of Micro, Small, Medium and Large Scale Engineering Industries of this Region.
The main objective of the Association is to spread awareness and provide platform to share knowledge and best practices in Manufacturing. The Association also acts as a forum to represent members' grievances to the Central & State Government departments and other agencies.
The Southern India Engineering Manufacturers Association 'SIEMA' is an Association of Engineering products manufacturers'of Southern Region covering Tamil Nadu. Andhra Pradesh, Kerala, Karnataka and Union Territory of Puduchery. SIEMA is alos having members across the Country as Associate members. Established in 1952 under Section 25 of Companies Act 1956 for the benefit of MSME and Large Scale Engineering Industries of the region. First pump was produced in Coimbatore in 1930 by one of our Founder Member M/s. Dhandayuthapani Foundry Pvt. Ltd. The first Motor was produced in Coimbatore in 1937 by M/s.
